Santiago, was founded by the spanish conqueror Diego Velázquez de Cuéllar on 1514.
It was residence of the Spanish governor until in the middle of century XVI it was transferred to Havana.
Its port was one of the most important points of arrival of the emigrations of the Old Continent.
This city is famous for the celebration of its Carnival.
The neuralgic center of the city is the park Turfs, where it is the Cathedral, the City council and the house of Diego Velázquez, closely is the House of the Trova where Trova music is played. Other place that you can not forget to visit is the Museum Emilio Bacardí or the Moncada quarter, nowadays demilitarized, lodges a museum and a school. ![]() There are a lot of beautiful beaches few kilometers away of the capital. Towards the east, to about 14 kilometers, you have Siboney, which they follow those of Juraguá, Daikiri, Verraco, Brown Coast, Buccaneer, Sigua and Cazonal to him, while that by the west you have those of Green Sea, Cabón Ox, White Caletón, the French and del municipality of Guamá.

Grammar, reading, writing, listening, speaking and vocabulary are always incorporated simultaneously, in order to approximate the student to an authentic communicative environment . You will also be encouraged to develop intercultural competence with a combination of knowledge, skills, and attitudes that will enable you to communicate and interact across cultural boundaries. Our approach to learning Spanish is intended to be as close as possible to real life situations in the Spanish-speaking world. Every lesson is independent but - as is the logical nature of any language - the use of grammar and vocabulary will be cumulative and sequential from class to class.
