Salamanca is a city in western Spain, the capital of the province of Salamanca, which belongs to the historic region of León and to the autonomous community of Castile-Leon.

About the city

The city lies on a plateau by the Tormes river, which is crossed by a bridge 500 ft long built on 26 arches, fifteen of which are of Roman origin, while the remainder date from the 16th century.

A central place in the city, the Plaza Mayor, surrounded by shaded arcades, is known as the living room of the Salmantinos (Salamancans). Salamanca is considered to be one of the most spectacular Renaissance cities in Europe. Through the centuries the sandstone buildings have gained an exquisite golden glow that has given Salamanca the nickname La Ciudad Dorada, the golden city.

The city is large enough to be able to offer the advantages of a real city, but at the same time it keeps the intimacy of a village. Since 1923, "Los Charros" formally the Union Deportiva Salamanca, have been the Salamanca football team from Salamanca.

In Salamanca, the inhabitants are said to speak the "purest" Spanish of Spain, a reputation it shares with Valladolid. For this reason Salamanca is popular with people all over the world who want to learn Spanish.

DELE B1-B2 Preparation Course

This course is only for non-native Spanish speakers and consists of 20 classes per week. At this level you require an intermediate Spanish (B1 level) or advanced Spanish (B2 level). Exam fees are not included (approximate 150 Eur for B1and 172 Eur for B2).

4-week course: 30/04/12, 30/07/12, 15/10/12
2-week course: 14/05/12, 13/08/12, 29/10/12
DELE means “Diploma de Español como Lengua Extranjera”, or "Spanish as a Foreign Language Diploma". It is the only official certificate for foreign students recognized by the Instituto Cervantes. This diploma is important for students who wish to study at Spanish universities or work in a Spanish-speaking country.
The best is to take a long term Spanish course to take the DELE preparation course for a successful examination.
There are DELE preparation courses for each exam, according to the level of qualification (B1, B2, C1, and C2). 95% of the students has passed the exam.

Intensive Spanish Course

In the Intensive course you will have 4 Spanish classes from Monday to Friday in groups of a maximum of 8 students. If you need to advance more quickly in oral communication we recommend you go for the Super- Intensive course, with 2 extra daily classes based on oral and written communication practice.
In addition, you have the option of attending an extra and completely free daily class covering different topics of cultural interest. We know that for a language course to be successful, it is not enough to offer excellent teaching. Other factors, such as socio-cultural aspects, also play an important part in its success.

Superintensive Spanish Course

In the Intensive course you will have 6 Spanish classes from Monday to Friday in groups of a maximum of 8 students.
